Road Trip XXVIII (covid edition) is officially underway

Some say it’s been a full year since our last road trip. But that’s only true if you believe in time. Which we don’t.

So here we are in 2020 (as if years actually exist) heading off on our new adventure. Given our current political and healthcare situation, things are bound to be interesting.

Day 1 begins! All masked up for safety. And because we’re decent human beings.
Finding gas might be difficult in these post-apocalyptic covid times.
So many dining options, it’s nearly impossible to choose.
We still haven’t mastered the art of covid eating, though.
For some reason, they didn’t recognize us as celebrities when we checked into our fancy casino hotel.
Instead of an Italian palazzo or Egyptian pyramid theme, our casino chose to honor its southern roots and be a riverboat.
We started Day 2 with a delicious breakfast on the Mighty Mississip‘.
Next goal: Finding the perfect place for our annual Thanksgiving feast.
