Next time you’re in Newberry, SC, Bill and Fran’s Diner is a must-stop. Our waitress Lynn has worked there for 35 years. Met the entire staff, ate a mountain of toast, talked to the locals.
Kevin was forced to eat a grit and did not enjoy it. Great time, but the best part was the pup in the parking lot honking the horn to get her owner to come out.

Kevin doesn’t like grits? Just tell him it is polenta. That sounds more exotic and will make them taste better. If that doesn’t work, add some Hatch green chile and cheddar cheese.
