Another road trip nears an end

A full moon greets Ken and Kevin as they head in for the night in Borger, Texas – just east of Amarillo.

After a lively conversation with our waitress, concerning her ex husband, brought on by a familiar song playing on the restaurant’s sound system(Mumford & Sons’ I Will Wait for You. we left the local eatery to join in on a conversation led by a man intent on convincing us that the world could be perfect if all religious groups – other than his – would give in and fall off the face of the earth.

There were Margaret and Stuart in Kit Carson, our new friends with signs in Denver, Ruthanne in Limon (short for “life in the middle of nowhere,” according to her) and countless other new friends along the road.

Who new there was an actual place named "Limon?" We celebrate by sharing in their famous drink, Sprite, made from local Limons, I suppose.

Tomorrow is full of promise as we head east.
