Janell, our new friend from Brookville, Indiana, gave us some sage advice for the holiday: Never split 10s.
She’s now a hostess at CVS, but she used to deal blackjack at a casino, where she’s seen it all.
“Tens of thousands of dollars was the biggest jackpot I ever saw,” she told us. “Of course, that same person probably lost more than that the day before.”
Her advice for blackjack — and for life — is simple. “Don’t try to get too fancy with it. Don’t split the wrong cards and make everybody mad at you. Just play it straight. That’s how you win.”
