Our morning walk to Lake Louise

While the suckers below we’re paying upwards of $42 to park at Lake Louise, Ken and Kevin took it upon themselves to park at the friendly Shell station in the Village and walk a few miles up the trail – and I’m not exaggerating when I say up – to Lake Louise, possibly Canada’s premier attraction.

Reminiscent of our trip to Washington DC, when we spent less than $12 during our full day there – which included lunch and snacks – with free parking and other amenities, we ended up spending nothing for a beautiful morning at Lake Louise.

Three hours later, we were back to our friendly Shell station and ready to head to lunch and Banff…and lunch in Banff is a whole ‘nuther story.
